How is a virtual trivia event run?
Each team will need two devices in order to enjoy the optimal experience: 1) a computer or laptop to join the Zoom meeting, and 2) a smartphone or tablet to play the game.
Teams can be comprised of individual or multiple players. Recommended team size is 3-6 players. If members of a team are in separate locations, we suggest arranging a conference call during the game.
IMPORTANT! Each team will use ONLY ONE smartphone/tablet to enter the game and submit the answers.
Use the Zoom link provided by your event host to connect to the virtual meeting. Your link will be available on the day of your episode. (We can have up to 100 participants in the Zoom meeting but can add more space if necessary.)
We strongly suggest using a computer to enter the meeting and view the episode (as opposed to a tablet or phone).
(“Virtual doors” open 10 minutes prior to the start of the game and the game will begin promptly at the advertised start time.)
Although it’s not mandatory, the Trivia Brothers suggest joining the meeting with video turned ON so that they can interact with you!
Once the episode officially starts, the Trivia Brothers will tell you how to register your team (using your smart phone or tablet) so you can play!
Don’t worry, there is no special app needed to play… simply a website that will be announced just before your episode begins.
How long does an episode last?
Typically, episodes run between 1-1 1/2 hours.
How many people/teams can play along?
Zoom allows our account to have up to 100 players/teams at once but more space can be added if necessary.
What technology do participants need?
Each team will need two devices in order to enjoy the optimal experience: 1) a computer or laptop to join the Zoom meeting, and 2) a smart phone or tablet to play the game.
Can you do episodes for all ages?
Yes! We cater to many different audiences, including elementary schoolers, teens, tweens, adults, families, teachers, administrators and seniors!
Can you do different themed episodes?
Yes! Disney, Harry Potter, 80’s… you name it, we can do it!
Can people join the game late?
Yes! If someone comes in late, they can just start playing at any time.
How are episodes scheduled and communicated to participants?
Generally, the person who sets up the booking will communicate with the players before the day of the game. The Trivia Brothers will send the Zoom meeting link 24 hours before the game so the event organizer can send it to the players ahead of time.
